Charles B. Wang Community Health Center receives $2.97 million | Plastpro Inc

The Charles B. Wang Community Health Center (CBWCHC) in New York City has announced a $2.97 million gift from Walter and Shirley Wang.

The gift will fund critical improvements to the health system, including the establishment of a new primary eye care suite in CBWCHC’s flagship Flushing, Queens location, the renovation of CBWCHC’s pediatric suite in Manhattan’s Chinatown, and the hiring of additional healthcare professionals across the center’s six service locations.

“With the Wangs’ support, CBWCHC can further our mission to provide equitable health care to underserved communities,” said CBWCHC chief executive Kaushal Challa. “Their generosity empowers us to make meaningful upgrades to our facilities and equipment, while addressing the shortage of healthcare professionals, which threatens our ability to meet the growing demand for services.”
